Astral Ascent Celestial Haven DLC Announced for Nintendo Switch, All Proceeds to Charity

Hibernian Workshop has officially announced Celestial Haven, the next downloadable content (DLC) for its acclaimed roguelite title Astral Ascent, set for release on the Nintendo Switch.

Continuing the studio’s trend of impactful updates, Celestial Haven introduces an innovative new area packed with interactive features.

Most notably, the DLC’s sales will be donated in full to the animal welfare organization One Voice. Astral Ascent, known for its beautifully crafted pixel art and challenging gameplay, has maintained a dedicated following since its launch.

The new Celestial Haven DLC reinvigorates the core experience, inviting players into a lovingly designed hub area called the Shelter.

Here, players will encounter a diverse group of adorable animals, each with unique personalities and charm.

These animals are not mere scenery; players can interact with them, watch their behaviors, and even offer pets—providing a cozy respite from the game’s intense action sequences. Crucially, the new companions enhance gameplay.

On every escape attempt within Astral Ascent’s prison biomes, the selected animal will follow alongside the player, detecting and unearthing special rewards throughout various rooms.

The pets are also attentive companions, celebrating success in battles against Zodiac bosses and major milestones like leveling up or achieving perfect room completions, further enriching player immersion and encouragement. Hibernian Workshop has ensured that Celestial Haven serves a purpose beyond virtual enjoyment.

In a move highlighting their commitment to social responsibility, the developers announced that 100% of the DLC proceeds will go to One Voice, a respected French animal welfare organization with a 30-year history in fighting animal cruelty worldwide.

Hibernian Workshop’s publishing partners are also supporting this charitable initiative, guaranteeing all revenue streams from Celestial Haven will be directed straight to the organization, helping animals in need around the globe.
