Asphalt Legends Races Onto Nintendo Switch 2 With Major Visual Upgrades

Asphalt Legends, the acclaimed arcade racing game from renowned developer Gameloft, has officially been released as part of the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions collection.

This latest version leverages the advanced hardware of the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing significant technical improvements for both new and returning racers. Originally launched on the Nintendo Switch in 2019, Asphalt Legends quickly attracted a dedicated community thanks to its fast-paced gameplay, expansive hypercar collection, and robust multiplayer features.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition builds upon this foundation, delivering an elevated experience designed to maximize the capabilities of Nintendo’s next-generation console. According to Gameloft, Asphalt Legends now runs at a resolution of 1440p when docked and achieves a native 1080p in handheld mode.

Most importantly, the game maintains a stable 60 frames per second (FPS) in both configurations, ensuring a smooth and responsive racing experience whether at home or on the go.

Enhanced visual effects have also been introduced, further highlighting detailed vehicles, scenic tracks, and the series' trademark high-speed stunts. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 can expect the full suite of features that made Asphalt Legends a standout title.

These include intense arcade-style races, the ability to pull off dramatic aerial stunts, and access to a garage of over 300 hypercars from prestigious manufacturers such as Ferrari and Porsche.

The game supports competitive online multiplayer with up to seven opponents, local split-screen play, and private lobbies for friends.

Racing Clubs return as a key element, providing opportunities for players to join communities and unlock exclusive rewards. Customization remains at the heart of Asphalt Legends, allowing racers to modify their vehicles with a variety of paints, rims, and performance parts to express their individual style while climbing the ranks.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is already available for download on the eShop as a free upgrade for existing owners, making it accessible for the franchise’s established fanbase and newcomers alike. This release further solidifies Gameloft’s presence on Nintendo platforms, following successful launches of other popular titles.

Looking ahead, the developer has announced Disney Dreamlight Valley as the next entry in its lineup of Switch 2 Editions, promising continued support and innovation for Nintendo’s expanding audience of gamers.
