Description

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have officially revealed a new seasonal update for their acclaimed mobile strategy RPG, Fire Emblem Heroes.

Set to launch on October 7, 2025, the upcoming "Altered Future" banner introduces Halloween-themed special units alongside an all-new paralogue chapter, marking another anticipated addition to the ever-expanding Fire Emblem Heroes roster. Fire Emblem Heroes, available on both iOS and Android platforms since its global release in February 2017, has been a cornerstone of Nintendo’s mobile gaming strategy.

The title has consistently received content updates and special events, engaging a dedicated player base across the world.

Developed by Intelligent Systems – the studio behind the mainline Fire Emblem series and known for its strategic gameplay innovation – Fire Emblem Heroes blends iconic franchise characters with turn-based tactical mechanics designed for mobile play. The latest banner, themed "Altered Future," spotlights special Halloween versions of several popular Fire Emblem characters.

Players can summon: - Nerþuz: Divine Abundance - Peony: Fruitful Dream - Echoing Howl: Skrimir - Freyja (+Eitr): Parallel Hearts Each character will arrive adorned in unique costumes and custom skillsets tailored for the Halloween event.

The summon event officially starts on October 7, 2025, offering fans and collectors limited-time opportunities to expand their arsenals with exclusive units. In addition to the new summonable heroes, Nintendo is introducing a dedicated paralogue chapter titled "Altered Future." This new chapter provides players not only with fresh story content but also with opportunities to earn additional in-game rewards and engage with novel tactical challenges.

Past updates of this kind have consistently driven engagement, and the tradition continues with this autumn’s offering. A representative from Nintendo stated that these seasonal events are designed to "offer both veteran and new Fire Emblem Heroes players exciting reasons to return, collect, and participate in time-limited content." The approach has paid dividends: Fire Emblem Heroes remains one of Nintendo’s top-earning mobile titles, celebrated for its generous fan service, evolving gameplay, and regular influx of new and returning characters from the core Fire Emblem series. With the "Altered Future" banner, fans can expect thoughtfully crafted characters, imaginative Halloween designs, and meaningful gameplay additions to one of Nintendo’s most successful ongoing mobile projects.

The summon period and new paralogue chapter will be accessible via the in-game summon menu and event tab starting October 7, 2025.

As always, the free-to-download title is available worldwide via the iOS App Store and Google Play, with additional information regularly published through Nintendo Direct announcements and the official Fire Emblem Heroes website.
