Super Mario Run Launches New Event Celebrating Super Mario Party Jamboree on Nintendo Mobile Platforms

Super Mario Run, Nintendo’s innovative foray into the mobile gaming world, continues to receive steadfast support more than eight years after its debut.

Developed by Nintendo and initially released on iOS in December 2016 before expanding to Android in 2017, Super Mario Run was the first title to bring Nintendo's iconic plumber to mobile platforms.

While the game’s initial launch drew widespread attention, it has since become a quieter, enduring presence among Nintendo’s catalog, periodically reinvigorated by limited-time events and updates. Recently, Super Mario Run introduced a major new event in collaboration with the upcoming Super Mario Party Jamboree—a move that highlights Nintendo’s ongoing commitment to cross-promotional synergy across its platforms.

The event, now live and running until January 30th, 2025, brings fresh content to the mobile exclusive and offers players a set of 27 unique missions, divided evenly across three different in-game boards.

Each board features tailored challenges, with nine missions apiece that encourage replayability and skill mastery. In an official statement, Nintendo emphasized the value of these special missions, noting that participants can earn a generous assortment of rewards.

These include Rally Tickets—which can be used in Toad Rally, one of Super Mario Run’s most popular modes—as well as exclusive decorative statues.

The collectible statues span fan-favorite characters and come in themed variants: the Rainbow Galleria board awards Mario and Peach statues, Goomba Lagoon offers Gold Goomba and Bowser figures, and Bowser’s Keep contains the coveted Gold Mario, Gold Peach, and Gold Bowser statues.

Players are encouraged to participate early to secure these limited-time items for their in-game kingdoms. Super Mario Run’s event aligns with Nintendo’s broader approach to leveraging its intellectual properties across both the Nintendo Switch and its suite of mobile titles.

The ongoing schedule of Super Mario Run collaborations has included nods to major launches such as Mario & Luigi: Brothership and the Super Mario Bros.

Movie, as well as new gameplay features like the Wonder Flower in Toad Rally.
