007 First Light Nintendo Switch 2: IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Reveal Title Sequence Featuring Lana Del Rey

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have released the official title sequence for 007 First Light, the developer’s reimagined origin story for James Bond due on Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026.

The announcement highlights a cinematic opening sequence underpinned by a new title song performed by Lana Del Rey, co-written with veteran Bond composer David Arnold.

In a press release, IO Interactive confirmed that Lana Del Rey performs the title track, which she co-composed with David Arnold.

The developer noted that Arnold’s involvement marks a notable return for the composer to the Bond universe.

IO Interactive described the sequence as rooted in the franchise’s longstanding opening-credit tradition, designed to showcase the game’s visual motifs and narrative identity.

According to the studio, the title sequence combines striking visuals and a cinematic atmosphere to establish the tone for Bond’s reimagined origin, blending modern and classic elements.

Rewriting the developer’s statement in journalistic terms: IO Interactive said the title sequence mirrors the franchise’s historical use of opening credits to frame story themes and visual identity.

Anchored by Del Rey and Arnold’s composition, the sequence is intended to honor Bond’s legacy while asserting the game’s individual identity as James Bond returns to gaming after more than 13 years.

007 First Light is presented as a third-person action-adventure that blends IO Interactive’s established stealth and action design.

Players take on the role of a 26-year-old James Bond: a promising Royal Navy air crewman whose recruitment into MI6 introduces him to an expansive world of espionage.

The developer has positioned the title to offer multiple approaches to encounters—ranging from stealth and subterfuge to direct action and social manipulation—consistent with IO Interactive’s design pedigree from the Hitman series.

The game will be available both at retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026.

IO Interactive’s collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios brings a high-profile creative team to the project, joining a recognized pop-culture performer with a returning Bond composer to underscore the game’s cinematic ambitions.
