Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Announced for Switch 2, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have officially announced 'Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties,' bringing the celebrated Yakuza 3 remake alongside an all-new standalone adventure, Dark Ties.

The release is scheduled for 2026 and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC, marking a significant expansion in platform options for long-time fans and new players alike. Yakuza Kiwami 3 is described as a comprehensive reimagining of the classic action-adventure beat 'em up, originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2009.

This modern remake centers on ex-yakuza protagonist Kazuma Kiryu as he strives to defend those he loves amidst the bustling cities of Okinawa and Tokyo.

With advanced visuals, refined combat mechanics, and revamped side activities, the remake aims to deliver an enriched and emotional gameplay experience that honors the legacy of the Yakuza series. In an added twist, this package also introduces Dark Ties, a brand-new game focusing on Yoshitaka Mine, the principal antagonist from Yakuza 3.

The deluxe edition features the “Legendary Outfit Pack,” “Legendary Lads & Gals Pack,” “Ryukyu Gal Gang Customization Pack,” “Flip Phone Customization Pack,” and the “Legendary Background Music CD Set.” These additions are designed to appeal to both series veterans and newcomers eager to revisit the beloved world of Yakuza.
