WWE 2K25, the latest installment in the acclaimed wrestling simulation series from developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports, is officially available now on Nintendo Switch 2.
The arrival marks a significant milestone for fans, as it brings the franchise’s most ambitious offerings to date onto Nintendo’s next-generation handheld console.
With the release accompanied by a final launch trailer, WWE 2K25 stands ready to deliver a fresh and immersive wrestling experience, now accessible to Nintendo Switch 2 owners worldwide.
A Franchise First: Exploring The Island
For the first time in WWE 2K history, players can step beyond the ring and into The Island—a dynamic WWE-themed world packed with interactive arenas, competitive challenges, and special live events.
This innovative mode allows players to pursue their legacy alongside 'The Original Tribal Chief' Roman Reigns.
As players progress, they’ll upgrade and personalize their MySUPERSTAR through multiple captivating storyline chapters, providing greater depth and replayability.
New Modes and Fan-Favorite Features
WWE 2K25 introduces several new and enhanced gameplay modes.
The all-new Showcase mode, hosted by 'The Wiseman' Paul Heyman, pays tribute to one of wrestling’s most storied dynasties, The Bloodline.
Players can relive iconic battles or engage in fantasy matchups featuring The Bloodline and both current and legendary WWE Superstars.
Making its long-awaited debut is intergender wrestling, a franchise first for WWE 2K.
This highly anticipated feature allows players to pit male and female wrestlers against each other in the ring, expanding match possibilities.
The game also sees the return of chain wrestling, unique match types like Underground and Bloodline Rules, thrilling barricade dives, and more.
Enhanced MyGM and Universe Modes
MyGM returns with online multiplayer for the first time on Nintendo Switch 2, allowing players to draft WWE Superstars and Legends to their brands and guide their rosters through multi-week seasons.
The Universe mode has also received notable upgrades, offering commentary-driven promos, new cutscenes, branching choices, and multiple outcomes to give fans more control over their WWE experiences.
A Deep and Diverse Roster
WWE 2K25 boasts the largest lineup in franchise history with over 300 wrestlers, including current Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers.
Notable names include Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Undertaker, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jade Cargill, and many more.
In a new MyRISE single-player storyline, players can take a Superstar from either the women’s or men’s division through a narrative where stars like Bayley and Kevin Owens attempt to take over NXT, introducing fresh brawl environments, unlockable characters, new ally storylines, and more.
WWE 2K25 is now available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch 2 and other major platforms.
With its wealth of content, innovative gameplay modes, and expanded roster, the installment sets a new standard for wrestling games on Nintendo’s hardware.
For those eager to see the game in action, the official launch trailer and extensive gameplay footage can be viewed on the eShop and official WWE 2K channels.
