Humble Games and developer Dead Mage have formally announced that Wizard of Legend 2 is heading to the Nintendo Switch, with a planned release window set for 2025.
This eagerly anticipated action-roguelike sequel follows the original Wizard of Legend, which made its notable debut on the Switch in 2018 and quickly gained a following for its fast-paced magic combat and roguelike mechanics.
Building on the foundation of the first entry, Wizard of Legend 2 aims to deliver a richer and more dynamic experience.
Both seasoned fans and new players can anticipate a fresh suite of features designed for modern hardware and gameplay expectations.
Set within the mystical Floating Lands, players will once again take on the Trials of Legend, assembling teams of wizards from all corners of the world to test their mettle in action-packed challenges.
A standout addition for Wizard of Legend 2 is robust multiplayer support.
Players can join forces with up to three friends via seamless online or local co-op functionality.
The multiplayer experience has been enhanced with improved responsiveness for Arcana abilities, a more refined camera system, and balanced adjustments such as dynamic boss HP to suit co-op sessions.
Streamlined item selection also aims to reduce accidental purchases, supporting a more gratifying and user-friendly experience.
The sequel introduces several new biomes, each filled with distinct enemies and fearsome bosses, ensuring that every combat encounter offers variety and challenge.
As players travel between these unique environments, they are encouraged to master the elemental Arcana—dozens of magical abilities and strategies that allow for creative spellcasting and tactical depth across the game’s enchanted battlefields.
Wizard of Legend 2 also emphasizes accessibility and inclusivity for its global player base.
The title boasts comprehensive language support, including but not limited to Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Persian, and Turkish.
A spokesperson for Humble Games stated that the team is committed to providing an engaging co-op experience and expanding the series’ appeal on the Nintendo Switch platform.
"We are excited to bring cooperative gameplay and more customization to players on the Switch, keeping the spirit of the original Wizard of Legend alive while adding new elements to the formula," they explained.
While an exact release date has yet to be confirmed, Wizard of Legend 2 promises to be a highlight for Nintendo Switch players in 2025.
