SEGA has released a trio of exciting new trailers for Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, marking the highly anticipated debut of the acclaimed action-adventure title on Nintendo Switch 2.

These latest trailers provide the first official showcase of the English voice acting for the game’s iconic protagonists, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, as well as a preview of the new theme song, "Bubble," performed by Japanese reggae group Shonan no Kaze.

The game is slated for worldwide release both digitally via the Nintendo eShop and physically as a Game Key Card alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 system on June 5th. Originally launched in Japan in March 2015 and later finding international success on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Yakuza 0 has earned widespread critical acclaim for its hard-hitting narrative, strategic combat system, and deep immersion in 1980s Tokyo and Osaka.

The Director’s Cut brings the celebrated experience to Nintendo’s next-generation hardware for the first time, allowing a new audience to experience the rich storylines and colorful cast of characters that have defined the series. In the newly released trailers, players are introduced to the much-anticipated English voice cast for Kiryu and Majima.

SEGA has emphasized its commitment to delivering an authentic localization, ensuring that the nuanced performances resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers.

"We wanted to honor the work of the original actors while also allowing a broader audience to engage with the story in a new way," a SEGA representative stated in a press release. Additionally, the trailers spotlight "Bubble," the new main theme from Shonan no Kaze.

The energetic track captures the vibrant atmosphere of Japan’s bubble economy era, further immersing players in the game’s unique setting.

Shonan no Kaze’s involvement adds another layer of cultural authenticity, reflecting the series’ dedication to representing contemporary Japanese music and style. Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut will be available on the same day as the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, with physical editions distributed as Game Key Cards and digital editions accessible on the eShop.

This move underscores SEGA’s ongoing partnership with Nintendo and commitment to expanding the Yakuza series’s reach beyond its core platforms.

Fans can look forward to revisiting the origins of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, now optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2’s advanced hardware and handheld versatility. With the release date set for June 5th, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut stands out as a marquee title for early adopters of the Nintendo Switch 2, signaling SEGA’s latest milestone in its celebrated action series.
