At Gamescom this year, our video producer Alex captured the first public footage of the upcoming Switch 2 port of 007 First Light running in docked mode.

The short over-the-shoulder clip shows the title running on the new Nintendo hardware and provides early confirmation that IO Interactive's James Bond project is being prepared for a Switch 2 release later this year.

IO Interactive, the studio best known for the Hitman series, has been working on a James Bond game for several years.

The Gamescom footage focuses on performance and visual presentation on Switch 2: Alex reported that the build generally sustained a 30 frames-per-second target and that the visual quality remained respectable despite some expected downgrades compared with versions on more powerful platforms.

In his own assessment, the title performed consistently enough in docked mode to suggest a playable experience on the new console.

The video shows the game running in docked mode, offering a clear look at frame pacing and image fidelity when connected to a TV.

That hands-on glimpse is notable because it confirms IO Interactive has a functioning Switch 2 build in public demonstrations at a major trade event.

Our coverage did not include a final release date beyond the developer's indication that the port is planned for release later this year.

Alex also recorded handheld footage of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - Remastered on Switch 2 during Gamescom.

The remastered edition has attracted attention for its next-gen updates and its presence at the show underlines the growing list of high-profile ports intended for Nintendo's new platform.

For Switch and Switch 2 owners, the Gamescom clips provide a useful early look at how major third-party projects are being adapted for Nintendo hardware.

As more publishers confirm Switch 2 support, expect to see additional technical breakdowns and comparisons ahead of official release windows.

In the meantime, the docked-mode performance of 007 First Light offers encouraging signs that IO Interactive is progressing toward a Switch 2 launch later this year.
