IO Interactive has set a firm launch date for 007 First Light on Nintendo Switch 2, scheduling the port for March 18, 2027.

The announcement comes nearly a year after the game first released on March 27, 2026 and follows an earlier delay that pushed the title into May 2026 and temporarily removed the Switch 2 port from launch plans. 007 First Light has since been a commercial success, selling 4 million units within three months of its original release.

Pre-orders and edition details

Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version are live at retailers, with a listing currently visible on Amazon.

At the time of reporting, the only available option for pre-order appears to be the Deluxe Edition, listed at 69.99 USD, 69.99 EUR, and 69.99 GBP.

Amazon identifies this listing as the Specialist Edition on its storefront.

What the Deluxe Edition includes

IO Interactive has confirmed the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition bundles multiple cosmetic gadgets and outfits.

The package contains the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun, and Gleaming Pen gadgets, plus the Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator outfits.

IO Interactive notes these items are restricted to New Game Plus and TacSim modes, meaning they are not immediately accessible in a fresh playthrough.

Pre-order bonus and cross-platform content parity

Pre-orders for the Switch 2 release will also grant early access to a new GoldenEye suit that has not yet appeared on other platform versions.

This mirrors IO Interactive’s approach of platform-specific timing for certain cosmetics and bonuses while maintaining feature parity for core gameplay.

Extended Operations DLC and post-launch support

007 First Light recently received the free Extended Operations pack, which added New Game Plus, a photo mode, a harder 00 difficulty, and additional TacSim missions.

TacSim, which unlocks over the course of the main story, provides configurable custom missions with constraints such as non-lethal requirements or firearm restrictions.

IO Interactive has described Extended Operations as incremental post-launch support intended to extend replay value after players complete the story.

What this means for Switch 2 owners

The March 18, 2027 Switch 2 port brings the IO Interactive shooter to Nintendo hardware nearly a year after its initial debut and follows a series of schedule adjustments.

With pre-orders available and the Deluxe Edition content outlined, prospective Switch 2 players can decide whether to reserve the Deluxe bundle and claim the early-access GoldenEye suit ahead of launch.
