Developed by Nintendo EPD and released on Nintendo platforms, the title reached the top spot despite having been on sale for only two days when the weekly sales window closed.
Nintendo Life highlighted the speed of that debut, noting that Splatoon Raiders secured first place even though it had only two days of sales included in the chart.
That performance underscores the strength of the Splatoon brand and Nintendo's physical retail presence in the UK market.
The full GfK top 40 (physical) list also shows Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced in second place and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream holding the third spot.
Other notable placements include Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and EA Sports FC 26 in the top five.
The GfK breakdown provides platform splits for multi-format releases.
For example:
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate registered a PS5 share of 58% and PS4 42% of its physical sales for the week.
- EA Sports FC 26 saw 43% of physical sales on PS5 and 28% on Switch.
- Assassin's Creed Shadows reported a sizeable PS5 share at 51% with Switch 2 capturing 39%.
- Transformers Battlegrounds was 100% Switch in the physical chart sample.
- Mortal Kombat 1 skewed heavily to PS5 at 95% of its physical sales.
Nintendo Life also observed that Rhythm Heaven Groove was absent from the physical chart that week, a circumstance the outlet attributed to ongoing physical distribution challenges for that title.
Other movements in the top 40 included a drop for Star Fox to 15th place and continued strong showings for established sellers such as Minecraft, Hogwarts Legacy and Pokémon entries (some reporting meaningful sales on Nintendo's newer Switch 2 hardware as well as original Switch stock).
The weekly GfK physical chart provides a snapshot of retail performance in the UK and is widely used by industry observers to track boxed-game demand.
With Splatoon Raiders' rapid ascent into the top slot, Nintendo continues to demonstrate the commercial power of its first-party franchises in physical retail channels.
