The latest GfK UK retail charts show fresh movement for Nintendo platforms and recent releases, with Minecraft Dungeons II launching strongly on Nintendo Switch 2 and a physical reissue of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 making a modest chart entry.

The compiled data covers platform splits for Switch, Switch 2 and other consoles, highlighting where consumers are buying new and returning hits.

Minecraft Dungeons II debuted at No.2 on the UK charts, directly behind chart-topper EA Sports FC 27.

According to GfK’s platform breakdown, Minecraft Dungeons II captured 70% of its sales on Switch 2, with the remainder distributed across PS5 (22%) and Xbox (7%).

That platform concentration underlines the Switch 2’s growing share for first-week sales on multi-platform releases.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition received a physical release on 1 October and entered the charts at No.25.

Industry observers noted the title’s respectable placement came despite limited official promotion from Nintendo around the physical launch.

Lies of P: Complete Edition, another recent Switch 2 cartridge release, charted higher at No.22, with many players and retailers welcoming the full physical package.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond returned to the top 10 this week, climbing to No.9 after a period off the chart.

GfK’s data shows Metroid Prime 4 sales split between Switch 2 (57%) and Switch (43%), suggesting continued interest across both Nintendo platforms.

The title’s resurgence has been supported in part by temporary price reductions, per the chart compilers.

At No.1, EA Sports FC 27 remains the UK’s best-selling boxed game, with a platform split dominated by PS5 (67%) and smaller shares on Xbox, Switch and PS4.

Other notable placements include long-running catalogue sellers such as The Witcher III and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and newer entries like Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and Ace Combat 8 appearing in this week’s top 40.
