Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis release date confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

Amazon Game Studios, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog have set a firm release date for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on Nintendo Switch 2.

The reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider will arrive worldwide on 12 February 2027 at retail and digitally via the Nintendo eShop, the publishers confirmed in a press release.

A reimagining of a classic

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis revisits the narrative that introduced Lara Croft, reframing the 1996 original as a globe-trotting action-adventure.

Developers say the remake expands the classic story, adding connective tissue that links Lara’s defining early adventures to her later career.

The project brings together Amazon Game Studios with long-time Tomb Raider steward Crystal Dynamics and studio Flying Wild Hog.

Publisher statement rewritten

The publisher explained that the game delivers cinematic scope and responsive movement engineered for Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, so players can enjoy the experience both docked and in handheld mode.
