Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered Now Available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Mobile: New Update Adds Challenge Mode and More

Publisher Aspyr and developer Crystal Dynamics have announced the expanded launch of Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered, bringing the celebrated trilogy to both Nintendo Switch 2 and mobile platforms.

This move broadens the availability of the compilation, which restores Lara Croft’s earliest adventures for a modern audience, complete with upgraded visuals and enhanced gameplay.

The remastered trilogy was previously released for Nintendo Switch (now referred to as Switch 1), PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, receiving praise for its faithful recreation and quality-of-life improvements. In tandem with the new platforms, Aspyr has rolled out a substantial free update that introduces several fresh features.

Highlighted among these is the new Challenge Mode, designed to appeal to both newcomers and long-time fans of Lara Croft’s adventures.

Challenge Mode allows players to customize their gameplay experience by adjusting parameters such as player health, enemy damage, bonuses, and more.

According to Aspyr, this feature empowers users to tailor difficulty, with higher challenge ratings unlocking additional in-game rewards. Players can also look forward to expanded customization through the addition of 10 new unlockable outfits for Lara Croft.

These outfits are not only cosmetic but also enhance Lara’s abilities, offering new ways to approach levels and encouraging replayability.

The update further enriches the game’s achievement system, adding 15 new Challenge Mode achievements for players to pursue as they test their skills. Aspyr has also assured the community that a free upgrade path for existing Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered owners on Nintendo Switch 1 is in development, with a rollout scheduled to begin on March 18, 2026.

This upgrade will grant original buyers access to the enhanced Switch 2 version at no additional cost, reinforcing the publisher’s commitment to player value across console generations. Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered continues to serve as a testament to the collaborative efforts between Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics, highlighting both companies’ achievements in faithfully reviving one of gaming’s most iconic action-adventure franchises.

The remastered trilogy’s arrival on new platforms, complete with significant feature updates, ensures that both veteran fans and newcomers can experience Lara Croft’s legacy in a fresh, engaging way. Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered is currently available for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch 1, mobile devices, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

The latest update is now live for all supported platforms, accessible via the Nintendo eShop and other digital storefronts.
