The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival announced for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2

Trailmark Games and Odaclick Game Studio have officially announced The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a new arcade-style brawler set in the universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

The developers confirmed the title is headed to both Nintendo Switch and the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2, and said launch timing will be provided at a later date.

An announcement trailer accompanies the reveal.

Overview

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival casts players as familiar characters from the series — Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon and Michonne — and focuses on intense, close-quarters combat against both human opponents and walker hordes.

The game is described by its creators as an unforgiving arcade brawler that adapts the All Out War storyline, sending players through locations fans will recognize from the show, including Alexandria, the Sanctuary and Hilltop.

Rewritten statement from the announcement

According to the studios, Streets of Survival is designed as a fast-paced beat ’em up where players will unleash combos, signature weapon attacks and powerful finishers while facing overwhelming waves of walkers and dangerous Saviors led by Negan.

The developers emphasized the game’s emphasis on arcade combat, environmental hazards and multi-phase boss encounters.

What to expect

- Playable characters and weapons: Rick, Michonne and Daryl each offer unique fighting styles and signature weapons — such as Rick’s magnum, Michonne’s katana and Daryl’s crossbow.

- Enemy variety and bosses: Encounters include walker swarms and human antagonists from the Saviors, with multi-stage boss fights featuring Negan, Simon and series-inspired creatures like Winslow and the Well Walker.

- Campaign and replayability: The campaign reimagines the Saviors conflict from the All Out War arc and promises replayable arcade challenges with multiple difficulty settings and an optional Easy Mode for less experienced players.

Platforms and updates

Trailmark Games and Odaclick Game Studio listed Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 as target platforms.

The studios have not announced a release date; they said launch timing will be shared in a future update.

Fans can view the announcement trailer for a first look and should monitor official channels for further details and any eventual eShop listings.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival joins a growing slate of The Walking Dead adaptations and adds a focused arcade-brawler take on the franchise tailored for Nintendo hardware.
