Dungeons of Dusk Announced: New Blood Interactive Brings Dusk RPG Spin-Off to Switch, PC, and More in 2026

New Blood Interactive, known for its cult classic FPS Dusk, has officially unveiled Dungeons of Dusk—a new RPG spin-off—during this year’s PC Gaming Show.

Launching in 2026, Dungeons of Dusk is set to expand the Dusk universe, marking an ambitious step into turn-based, dungeon-crawling RPG territory for the developer.

The game’s announcement has garnered attention from industry insiders and fans alike, especially as it’s set for an expansive multi-platform release including Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. Developed by genre specialists 68K Studios—the team behind acclaimed indie RPGs The 7th Circle: Endless Nightmare, Inferno - Beyond the 7th Circle, and Ludus Mortis—Dungeons of Dusk blends the intense atmosphere of its FPS predecessor with classic role-playing mechanics.

According to New Blood Interactive and 68K Studios, the title is a “classic turn-based dungeon crawling RPG set canonically between the events of the original Dusk episodes.” The game draws inspiration from 1980s and 1990s cRPGs, as well as early mobile adaptations like Fountainhead Entertainment’s and id Mobile’s RPGs for franchises such as Wolfenstein and DOOM. Dungeons of Dusk promises a robust 30-level campaign featuring character progression and interactions with NPCs who provide passive enhancements.

Players can expect to face both new and familiar threats from the Dusk universe, including iconic chainsaw-wielding leathernecks and cultist enemies.

The gameplay will also feature multiple action-oriented modes such as boss rush, survival challenges, and an endless arena, catering to a range of player preferences. Weapon variety is another core aspect: The reveal trailer highlights a broad arsenal, from melee options like sickles to powerful firearms including shotguns.

In-game shops will enable players to resupply with ammunition and health items as they venture deeper into the dungeons.

These elements reinforce Dungeons of Dusk’s blend of old-school inspiration and modern design principles, aiming to appeal to both long-time RPG enthusiasts and fans of the original Dusk FPS. Dungeons of Dusk is scheduled for a 2026 release, with availability across Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.

As the latest project from New Blood Interactive and 68K Studios, it looks set to bridge the worlds of fast-paced shooters and classic role-playing games, cementing Dusk’s legacy as a versatile and enduring franchise.
