Kennedy as a central playable protagonist in Resident Evil Requiem.

The much-anticipated reveal took place during The Game Awards 2025, confirming prior PlayStation Network leaks and months of speculation.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch globally on February 27, 2026, bringing the beloved franchise back into the spotlight with exciting new features, gameplay innovations, and collector’s incentives. During Capcom's segment at The Game Awards, the newly released trailer showcased Leon S.

Kennedy, highlighting his reputation as an accomplished action hero within the Resident Evil universe.

In Requiem, Leon is designed as the primary action-oriented lead, leveraging his signature firearms expertise and fast-paced combat style.

Capcom also used the global stage to announce a unique collaboration between Resident Evil and the legendary automotive manufacturer Porsche.

For the first time in franchise history, players can commandeer a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT within the game, serving as Leon’s personal vehicle.

This exclusive crossover injects real-world luxury into the survival horror experience, offering a distinct edge to fans eager to immerse themselves in Resident Evil Requiem’s sprawling environments.
