Demonschool Delayed to Q1 2025: Necrosoft Games Prioritizes Quality for Nintendo Switch Release

In a notable update for RPG fans and the Nintendo Switch community, Necrosoft Games has announced another delay for their highly anticipated tactical RPG, Demonschool.

Originally scheduled for release in September 2024, the title is now set for launch in the first quarter of 2025, marking a few more months of development and refinement for this unique strategy adventure. Demonschool, developed by Necrosoft Games and published by Ysbryd Games, has been eagerly followed since its debut tease during a previous Nintendo Direct.

After in-depth discussions with publisher Ysbryd Games, the team concluded that additional development time would better serve their creative ambitions and ensure Demonschool reaches its full potential. "Delaying a release is never easy, but Demonschool is incredibly important to us as a team.

We’ve invested everything into this project, and as September approached, we recognized that aiming for that deadline could compromise our original vision," Necrosoft shared.

"After consulting with Ysbryd Games, we had a choice: release a version in September that we are proud of but know could be richer, or take the needed extra time and deliver on our bigger dreams in early 2025.

We chose the latter out of respect for our fans and the experience we want to deliver." The studio further praised Ysbryd Games for providing the flexibility and support to make this decision, emphasizing that such latitude from a publisher is increasingly rare in today's market.

As a sign of increased transparency and fan engagement, Necrosoft Games also announced plans to share regular development diaries leading up to launch, offering players an inside look at the final phases of the creative process. Demonschool’s new Q1 2025 release window means that when it arrives on the Nintendo Switch eShop and other digital storefronts, it will benefit from a larger and more immersive gameplay experience.
