- Free upgrade eligibility: THQ Nordic says both digital and physical owners of the Nintendo Switch (Switch 1) version can upgrade to the Switch 2 release at no extra cost.
To receive the enhanced version, owners must have the Switch 1 game installed on their Nintendo Switch 2 system; the upgraded build is delivered via an update.
- Save data: Existing save files from the Switch 1 version can be accessed after applying the update to an upgraded copy.
However, the Switch 2 digital purchase is treated as a separate product by the console, and a standalone purchase of the Switch 2 version will not automatically accept Switch 1 save files.
