Launched on June 18, 2024, the update allows Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to unlock and redeem special icons inspired by Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion.

The promotion is accessible through the Nintendo Switch Online Missions & Rewards section, accessed via the console’s home screen or the eShop.

Both games are celebrated as milestones in the Metroid franchise, renowned for their atmospheric exploration and genre-defining gameplay.

Upon starting both Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, players are rewarded with 50 My Nintendo Platinum Points per title, totaling up to 100 Platinum Points for the set.

These Platinum Points can then be exchanged for exclusive rewards or discounts within the My Nintendo program. Each game features a set of six distinct profile icons, reflecting signature visuals and characters from their respective adventures.

These icons are priced affordably at 10 Platinum Points each, allowing members to mix and match their favorite Metroid imagery.

According to updated Nintendo Switch Online communications, the Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion icons will remain available for redemption until August 4, 2024.
