Capcom has officially unveiled detailed plans for Street Fighter 6’s Season 3 DLC, solidifying the return of the iconic fighter Sagat, along with C.
Viper, Alex, and Ingrid.
During its recent Spotlight broadcast, Capcom provided Street Fighter fans with eagerly anticipated updates, importantly announcing a set release date for Sagat—the revered 'emperor of Muay Thai.'
Sagat will become available as a playable character in Street Fighter 6 on August 5, 2025.
This marks his celebrated comeback, accompanied by a brand-new stage set deep in the mountains of Thailand.
Capcom’s integration of this classic fighter continues to honor the franchise’s rich history, offering both long-time and new players fresh challenges and experiences on the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
In anticipation of Sagat’s arrival, Capcom will roll out the "Sagat Arrives" Fighting Pass beginning July 4, 2025.
This limited-time pass is designed to offer a wealth of bonus content, including exclusive EX Colors, additional in-game titles and music tracks, avatar customization gear, unique challenger screen illustrations and effects, special emotes, stickers, and access to the classic arcade game Tiger Road.
All these elements are crafted to enrich the fighting game community’s experience and reward dedicated Street Fighter 6 players.
Addressing the broader content update, Capcom shared that the much-anticipated Outfit 4 collection will debut for seven roster members initially, with plans to extend these cosmetic upgrades to the entire cast in subsequent updates.
According to Capcom’s development team, all features mentioned are in the "final stages of tweaking," ensuring a polished experience upon release.
Additionally, the team confirmed that an in-depth Sagat gameplay showcase will be released closer to launch to provide players with strategic insights into his moveset and playstyle.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 will include exclusive game modes such as Gyro Battle and Calorie Contest, plus full amiibo support.
For digital purchases, the game remains accessible via the Nintendo eShop.
With Sagat’s addition and this wealth of new content, Street Fighter 6 continues to secure its position as a leading fighting game title, further cemented by Capcom’s commitment to fan feedback and ongoing updates.
