Description

Capcom has unveiled an exciting new event for Street Fighter 6, bringing together the iconic fighting franchise with the classic visual novel Banshee's Last Cry.

Originally launched for the Super Famicom in 1994, Banshee's Last Cry is regarded as a cult favorite within Japan's adventure game scene.

Now, Capcom is introducing its eerie atmosphere and minimalist design into the modern arena of Street Fighter 6, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. The crossover event can be accessed later this month via the World Tour mode in Street Fighter 6.

Players simply need to select the 'Street Fighter's Last Cry' option from the 'One Fateful Day' menu to begin the new content.

Notably, Capcom has confirmed that these collaboration features will remain permanently accessible, ensuring that all players, both current and future, can enjoy this unique homage to the original visual novel, even after the official event window closes. Gamers who participate in the event during the designated period—from October 15 to October 30, 2025—will have the opportunity to earn exclusive collaboration-themed items.

These limited rewards are only obtainable during the official collaboration event dates, rewarding early participation with collectible content related to Banshee's Last Cry. Within the collaboration, players can expect atmospheric sequences that echo the suspense and visual style of the 1994 Super Famicom title.

The character models featured in this mode have been deliberately designed to reflect the limited color palette and distinct blue tones of the original, creating a nostalgic experience for fans of retro gaming and visual novels alike. This update isn't the only major development for Street Fighter 6 this month.

Capcom is also expanding the roster with the arrival of C.Viper, an electrifying addition from previous entries in the series.

C.Viper will be available as part of the Year 3 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass, giving players new combat options and strategies.

Additional fighters, including Alex and Ingrid, have been teased for release at a later date, underscoring Capcom’s commitment to enriching the game’s content throughout its lifecycle. Street Fighter 6 continues to achieve critical and commercial success since its worldwide release on June 2, 2023, garnering attention for its innovative World Tour mode and robust online features.

The latest collaboration with Banshee's Last Cry not only pays tribute to the history of Japanese game development but also broadens the cultural influences found within Capcom’s flagship fighting series.

As each update brings new surprises, fans can look forward to even more engaging crossovers and content on Nintendo Switch and other major platforms.
