Partnering with publisher Dotemu, known for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, this project draws on the rich tradition of the Starship Troopers universe, blending nostalgic gameplay design with modern hardware capabilities. Set a quarter-century after the events of the original 1997 Starship Troopers film, Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! thrusts players into the boots of war veteran Samantha Dietz.
The solo campaign follows Dietz as she recalls her harrowing pursuit of the fearsome Assassin Bug during the First Bug War.
Players will revisit iconic locations such as the Arachnid home world Klendathu and venture to new battlefronts like Planet P, experiencing battles rendered in striking 3D pixel art. The game equips troopers with an impressive arsenal, featuring 14 different weapons—including the series’ signature Morita rifle—alongside 11 Tactical Supports and a devastating Mech vehicle.
