Splatoon 3, developed by Nintendo EPD and first released on the Nintendo Switch in 2022, continues to receive regular updates that refine weapons, mechanics and online play across both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms.
According to Nintendo’s patch notes, Version 11.3.0 adds the Plastic-Bottle Shot Replica as a new weapon.
The company notes the Replica shares the same specifications as the Tentatek Splattershot, making it familiar to players who use mid-range shooter kits.
Nintendo also explains how the reward is distributed: players who have completed the main story in Splatoon Raiders on the same system will be able to claim the Plastic-Bottle Shot Replica from the Splatoon 3 lobby terminal, provided they launch Splatoon 3 with the same user profile that holds the Splatoon Raiders save data.
Beyond the new weapon, the update implements a range of multiplayer adjustments.
Nintendo states that specifications for certain main weapons and some special weapons have been changed, and that the points required for several special weapons have been adjusted.
The patch notes say the changes are intended to make it more difficult for some main weapons to safely maintain Splat Zones or keep constant pressure on opponents, while other main weapons were altered to emphasize unique characteristics or improve ease of use for players.
Nintendo also confirms a targeted bug fix in this release.
The update resolves an issue where performing certain actions immediately after jumping off a wall with Squid Surge resulted in greater horizontal movement than intended.
Version 11.3.0 applies to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 software, and Nintendo has published the full patch notes as part of the update announcement.
Players can expect these changes to take effect when the patch goes live on August 19, 2026.
As always, competitive players and casual fans should review the full notes to understand how weapon tuning may affect matchups and loadouts in Turf War, Ranked modes and other online playlists.
