Jersey Jack Pinball has released a full trailer unveiling its officially licensed Sonic the Hedgehog pinball machine, confirming features, pricing, and an upcoming launch event. The new cabinet — designed by industry veteran Steve Ritchie — pairs large-format hardware with licensed Sonic content, including artwork and animation from Sonic Generations, and will be available to order now from the Jersey Jack website. Design and hardware The cabinet includes custom sculptures of Sonic, Amy, and Dr. Eggman, advanced RGB-LED illumination, built-in Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, and a 27-inch LCD screen that displays Sonic Generations art and animation. The Special and Collector’s Editions add non-reflective Invisiglass, unique artwork and battle toppers, and haptic feedback; Jersey Jack provides a detailed comparison chart on its site outlining the differences across models. Audio and voice Jersey Jack confirmed the machine’s soundtrack features nine licensed songs, including Sonic Adventure 2’s “Live & Learn,” plus exclusive guitar solos recorded by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. Audio presentation is further enhanced by over 5,000 voice callouts from Sega’s official voice cast, including Roger Craig Smith reprising the role of Sonic. Gameplay and design intent The playfield is built around seven Zones inspired by classic Sonic levels such as Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant, and City Escape, each progressing toward climactic boss encounters. Jersey Jack credits designer Steve Ritchie — whose pinball career spans more than 40 years — with shaping the flow and pacing of the experience. Ritchie described the team’s objective as creating a fast, energetic machine that keeps players absorbed from the initial launch through to the final ball. Editions, pricing, and ordering The Sonic the Hedgehog pinball machine is available in three editions: Arcade Edition ($9,999), Special Edition ($12,000), and Collector’s Edition ($15,000). Jersey Jack requires a $1,000 deposit for direct orders; the company also lists alternative authorized distributors on its product page. Launch event and availability Sonic the Hedgehog celebrates its 35th anniversary on June 23, 2026. Jersey Jack will host a launch showcase at Under the Glass Pinball in Red Bank, New Jersey, from June 27–28, where founder Jack Guarnieri and designer Steve Ritchie will appear and attendees can play the new machine.
