Takashi Iizuka, producer of the Sonic series, recently addressed the community regarding the timing of the Switch 2 version’s release.
He reaffirmed Sega’s commitment to delivering the best possible experience on new hardware, explaining that the extra development time was essential to optimize performance and maintain parity with other next-generation platforms.
The company’s proactive upgrade pathway illustrates their acknowledgment of the legacy fanbase and desire to smooth the transition to Nintendo’s latest console.
Players interested in the discounted upgrade should act within the promotional window to take advantage of the $5 offer.
With the strong possibility of Switch sales in the lead-up to the Switch 2 debut, this upgrade represents a cost-effective pathway for fans to continue their adventures in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
