SEGA’s celebrated mascot speeds to another impressive achievement as Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the latest entry in the arcade racing series, races past a major sales milestone.

Released for Nintendo Switch and other platforms, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has officially sold over 1 million copies worldwide as of October 23, 2025, underscoring the enduring appeal of Sonic the Hedgehog and his racing adventures.

In a press release, a SEGA spokesperson highlighted player engagement figures that reflect the community's enthusiasm: gamers have collectively participated in more than 74.5 million races, entered over 31.5 million Grand Prix events, and taken part in upwards of 13 million ranked online matches.

This new content package introduces Joker—iconic for his appearance in the Persona series—as a fully playable character.

Players can now take control of Joker behind the wheel of his signature vehicle, the Arsène Wing, a stylish addition inspired by Persona 5’s themes. To enrich the in-game atmosphere, the DLC adds three Joker-themed tracks to the Jukebox playlist: "Take Over,” “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There,” and “Victory.” These tracks are drawn directly from Persona 5, providing a crossover experience that blends SEGA’s Sonic universe with Atlus's beloved franchise.

Special emotes and audio effects tied to Joker are also included, allowing for deeper personalization and expression within races.
