Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Announces Minecraft DLC Release Date and Festival for Nintendo Switch

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds made a significant impact when it launched for the Nintendo Switch at the end of last month, continuing Sega's legacy of high-speed kart racing on Nintendo platforms.

Now, Sega has officially revealed the release date for its first major Season Pass DLC, with a strong focus on cross-franchise appeal.

On June 24, 2024, Sega released a teaser confirming that the highly anticipated Minecraft Pack will become available on October 8, 2025.

The new downloadable content introduces iconic Minecraft characters Steve, Alex, and Creeper as playable additions, along with an exciting new track inspired by Mojang's bestselling sandbox game.

The DLC is accessible through the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition, while players looking to expand their collection can also purchase the Minecraft Pack separately from the eShop.

According to Sega’s statement, the release of the Minecraft Pack will coincide with the in-game "Minecraft Festival," an event scheduled to run from October 9 through October 12.

All Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds players on Nintendo Switch will be able to participate in the Minecraft Festival at no cost, regardless of whether they own the new DLC pack, ensuring that the broader community can experience themed limited-time content.

This content drop marks just the beginning of an ambitious post-launch roadmap.
