This long-awaited localization will ship worldwide starting June 30, 2026, a milestone that marks the game's first official appearance in English for the Sega Mega Drive and compatible systems. Responding to robust interest from both collectors and retro gaming enthusiasts, Shinyuden has also decided to extend the pre-order window, now running until May 31, 2026.
According to a representative from Shinyuden, "With the enthusiastic demand we’ve seen, we want to give more fans the opportunity to secure a copy of this unique collector’s edition." Vixen 357 was originally developed by Masaya’s internal team, Career Soft, renowned for their work on celebrated tactical releases like Elthlead, Gaia no Monshou, Gaiflame, and the Langrisser series (also known as Warsong).
Despite critical acclaim in Japan, the title never saw an official English translation or distribution outside its home country, making its Western release a major event for retro RPG collectors. Efforts to bring the game to international audiences began in 2019, when Super Fighter Team initially announced plans to translate and publish Vixen 357.
However, that project did not come to fruition.
Shinyuden’s commitment to honoring the legacy of this cult classic has finally ensured fans across the globe can experience the game in its intended form. The upcoming physical edition is set to delight dedicated fans and collectors.
