Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Sonic Pico Park Revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026

SEGA used its Summer Game Fest 2026 presence to expand the Blue Blur's roster of crossovers, announcing two headline collaborations: Godzilla and Evangelion for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and a new crossover title, Sonic Pico Park.

The news arrives as Sonic prepares to mark his 35th anniversary in 2026 and builds on SEGA's ongoing efforts to keep Sonic-branded projects visible across platforms including the Nintendo Switch.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds — year two collaborations

SEGA confirmed that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will receive additional crossover content in its second year, specifically partnerships featuring Godzilla and Evangelion properties.

The trailer released during Summer Game Fest highlighted themed racetracks with visual motifs drawn from those franchises, but did not display specific playable racers or vehicles tied to Godzilla or Evangelion.

SEGA has not provided release dates or further rollout details for these year two items.

SEGA also referenced the first season pass for CrossWorlds, noting the initial six collaborations that arrived during Season Pass One.

While promotional graphics indicated the season-pass lineup is complete, SEGA clarified that some characters announced during Season Pass One—such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar—have not yet been made available in-game and remain pending release.

Sonic Pico Park — Pico Park crossover announced

In addition to the racing updates, SEGA unveiled Sonic Pico Park, a crossover between Sonic and the Pico Park series.

The new title is described as a co-op puzzle-platformer supporting up to eight players and featuring Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as playable representations of the franchise.

Pico Park’s earlier entries were released on Nintendo Switch in 2019 and 2024, and SEGA confirmed the collaboration without announcing a release date for Sonic Pico Park.

What we know and what remains

All announcements came via the Summer Game Fest presentation and SEGA press materials.

Confirmed details include the two new CrossWorlds themes (Godzilla and Evangelion), the continued rollout of Season Pass One content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and the existence of Sonic Pico Park as an eight-player co-op puzzle-platformer.

SEGA has not supplied concrete launch windows or platform exclusivity beyond existing franchise presence on systems such as the Nintendo Switch.

As SEGA releases further information and release dates, official channels including SEGA’s press site and Summer Game Fest updates will be the primary sources for confirmed details.
