AMATA Games Announces 'Save My Scrap' for Nintendo Switch – 2026 Release Confirmed

AMATA Games has officially revealed that 'Save My Scrap' will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch, targeting a 2026 release date.

The announcement marks the latest expansion of AMATA Games’ footprint on Nintendo’s popular hybrid console, bringing a fresh take on narrative-driven puzzle games to the eShop.

Developed as a reimagining of 'Fix My Junk,' this title will deliver new dialogue, additional endings, and technical improvements, alongside a change in engine and the inclusion of a gallery mode for enhanced replayability. 'Fix My Junk' gained recognition within the visual novel community for its inventive blend of interactive storytelling and tactile, mechanical puzzles.

The lead creator, Unio Anno, has committed to deepening the player experience in 'Save My Scrap' with richer character arcs and expanded player choice.

This next-generation iteration builds upon the foundation set by the original, offering Nintendo Switch players exclusive new content and system-optimized enhancements. According to AMATA Games, 'Save My Scrap' introduces players to the role of an android mechanic tasked with repairing Harima, a malfunctioning personal android, under the request of his owner, Dr.

Miomaru.

The gameplay experience revolves around a unique blend of intricate mini-games involving mechanical repairs, as well as branching conversations that shape the narrative.

Players connect wires and replace defective parts, gradually unlocking the backstory of Miomaru and Harima, and uncovering the memories they have worked to suppress. As players progress, forging meaningful connections with the two central characters, the storyline evolves beyond simple repairs.

The emotional undercurrents of the narrative are brought to the forefront, compelling players to confront deeply buried truths and witness heartfelt, emotional pleas from the game's cast.

Every choice made in dialogue influences how the characters respond, creating multiple narrative outcomes that encourage replayability. 'One of our main goals was to create a more immersive and emotionally resonant experience for Nintendo Switch users, giving them not only more dialogue and endings but also new ways to interact with and explore our world,' shared AMATA Games in an official statement, paraphrased for clarity. To enrich the atmosphere, the title incorporates a world-building feature allowing players to tune into in-game radio channels while traveling in their virtual car, deepening their understanding of the setting and its cultural context.

The addition of an expansive gallery mode further rewards players’ journey through the game. While a precise release date has not been set, 'Save My Scrap' is confirmed for a 2026 launch on the Nintendo Switch via the eShop.

The announcement trailer offers an early glimpse into the technical and narrative advancements made for this release.

AMATA Games has stated that more updates, including a firm release date, will be provided as development progresses.
