Capcom has officially announced the arrival of Sagat, the iconic Muay Thai master, to the roster of Street Fighter 6.

As a staple in the fighting game community and a fan-favorite since his debut, Sagat’s inclusion is set to energize the competitive scene when he launches on August 5, 2025.

The update will be available across all supported platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, further cementing Capcom’s commitment to keeping Street Fighter 6 fresh and engaging for its global audience. Sagat’s reintroduction comes with a full suite of signature moves and a renewed rivalry that long-time fans will instantly recognize.

According to Capcom’s official press release, "Sagat brings his unique blend of Muay Thai technique and fiery projectiles, adding depth and excitement to the ever-expanding Street Fighter 6 roster." Players can look forward to unleashing a fearsome combination of knees, uppercuts, and the notorious Tiger Shot fireballs. In addition to his gameplay debut, Sagat will be playable for the first time by the public at EVO Las Vegas, the world’s premier fighting game tournament.

Attendees have an exclusive opportunity to try out Sagat before the global release, highlighting Capcom's effort to engage directly with the competitive community and gather feedback in a live environment. Sagat joins Street Fighter 6 with two distinct outfits.

Players can unlock Outfit 2 in the World Tour mode by maximizing their bond with Sagat, or alternatively, it can be purchased via Fighter Coins.

To complement Sagat’s arrival, Capcom is also releasing Outfit 4 swimsuit costumes for seven other characters—Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I.—available on launch day.
