RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition Gets New Physical Release Date for Nintendo Switch

Atari has officially announced the upcoming physical release date for "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition" on Nintendo Switch, set to arrive in stores on March 6, 2025.

This comprehensive launch will allow Nintendo Switch fans to own the classic park management title and its expansions in a physical format, further cementing the game’s enduring popularity nearly two decades after its original debut. Developed by Frontier Developments and published by Atari, "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition" bundles the acclaimed base game with its expansive "Soaked!" and "Wild!" downloadable content packs.

This edition gives players access to all of the iconic simulation gameplay, plus the additional features of designing intricate waterparks and managing vibrant animal exhibits, all optimized for the Nintendo Switch hardware. This upcoming release follows a previous physical edition that was made available through Limited Run, which produced a boxed copy in limited quantities.

The new physical edition, set for retail release, ensures broader accessibility for collectors and franchise enthusiasts alike. Originally launched in 2004, "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3" marked a significant evolution in the long-running franchise.

The title replaced the series’ trademark isometric visuals with a richly detailed 3D world, enhancing creative options and immersion for players.

New gameplay mechanics, such as camera controls and guest perspectives, elevated the user experience and transformed park simulation standards. In addition to being a technological leap for the series, "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3" achieved commercial and critical success.

During its release window, the game topped Amazon.com’s PC sales charts and finished among the five best-selling PC titles of 2004 and 2005.

Reviewers responded favorably as well, as evidenced by its 81 rating on Metacritic and multiple nominations for Strategy and Simulation Game of The Year awards. Nintendo Switch players will now be able to enjoy every feature and expansion in one package.

The "Complete Edition" on Switch delivers handheld convenience, full content parity with the PC release, and access to a beloved classic on modern hardware.
