Abbey Games and publisher Firesquid Games have officially confirmed that Reus 2—the anticipated sequel to the unique planet-shaping god game—will be launching for Nintendo Switch on October 23, 2024.

This announcement marks a significant expansion for the PC-born simulation franchise, as Nintendo Switch players will be able to experience both the core game and its new Ice Age DLC on the same day. Originally developed by Abbey Games, Reus became a cult hit for its innovative gameplay that put players in control of powerful giants with the ability to sculpt environments, develop societies, and indirectly influence the fate of evolving civilizations.

Reus 2 builds on this formula, offering greater depth and new ways for players to shape humanity’s destiny within a procedurally generated cosmos. In Reus 2, players embody four elemental giants tasked with controlling the development of human societies.

Alongside the biome, the DLC adds four new leaders: the General (military growth specialist), the Poet (cultural efficiency expert), the Villain (chaos-driven strategist), and the Painter (arts and economy focus), each providing distinct play styles to shape the future of your civilizations.
