Capcom Reveals Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Pro Controller and New Amiibo
In a significant development for Nintendo fans and collectors, Capcom has officially announced that Resident Evil Requiem will be getting its own limited edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and an exclusive Grace Ashcroft amiibo.
The reveal was part of Capcom's newly released 20-minute showcase video, 'Road to Requiem,' which highlights the latest updates and features for the highly anticipated entry in the Resident Evil franchise.
Resident Evil Requiem is Capcom's latest title in its enduring survival-horror series, and it is slated for release on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27th.
To celebrate the launch, Capcom is providing fans with a unique piece of hardware: a special edition Switch 2 Pro Controller.
This controller features the iconic Resident Evil logo prominently displayed across a backdrop resembling scattered newspaper clippings, reflecting the series’ signature style and horror aesthetics.
The themed controller will be available for purchase on the same day as the game’s debut, offering fans an immersive, branded way to experience Requiem from day one.
In addition to the controller, Capcom has confirmed the development of a new amiibo figure centered on Grace Ashcroft, the protagonist of Resident Evil Requiem.
The amiibo is scheduled for a summer 2026 release, extending the game’s presence in Nintendo’s collector ecosystem and further integrating Capcom’s franchises with Nintendo’s signature hardware and accessories.
While Capcom has not yet released official images of the Grace Ashcroft amiibo, the announcement has already generated considerable excitement among fans and collectors who anticipate additions to their amiibo collections.
Capcom continues to reinforce its long-standing relationship with Nintendo by delivering exclusive hardware and collectibles that appeal to both core gamers and franchise enthusiasts.
The inclusion of Resident Evil Requiem content on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform aligns with recent trends in collaboration between third-party publishers and Nintendo, as seen through dedicated reveals in Nintendo Direct presentations and strategic eShop launches.
With Resident Evil Requiem’s release date confirmed for February 27, 2025, and special hardware on the horizon, Capcom is poised to make a significant impact within Nintendo’s next-generation landscape.
