Resident Evil Merchandise at Universal Studios Japan: Licker Popcorn Bucket and RPD Apparel Arrive September 2026

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) has expanded its ongoing collaboration with Capcom, unveiling a slate of Resident Evil–themed merchandise and confirming details for a limited-time attraction at the park’s 2026 Halloween Horror Nights.

The new items spotlight classic Resident Evil imagery and arrive as the franchise marks its 30th anniversary and USJ celebrates the 15th anniversary of its Halloween Horror Nights programming.

Beginning September 9, 2026, visitors to USJ in Osaka can buy a Licker-shaped popcorn bucket pre-filled with miso-flavored popcorn.

The novelty bucket is designed so visitors can access the snack by opening the Licker’s exposed brain, tying the prop to Resident Evil’s iconic monster design.

USJ says the Licker bucket will be sold at the popcorn cart in front of Stage 22.

Apparel and accessory offerings include black shirts featuring the Raccoon Police Department (RPD) emblem and a range of bags inspired by the Hip Pouches used to expand inventory in the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes.

USJ describes the bags as having a "three-way" configuration, allowing them to be worn as a waist pouch, shoulder bag, or chest bag.

RPD apparel will be available at the Cinema 4-D Store inside the park.

The merchandise rollout accompanies a headline attraction: Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive, a limited engagement slated to run at Stage 18 from September 11, 2026, through December 27, 2026, as part of USJ’s Halloween Horror Nights lineup.

The timed run aligns the merchandise and attraction with the park’s seasonal schedule.

In a press release (via machine translation), USJ indicated that additional collaboration items will be released later in the fall and that the company will continue to announce updates related to Halloween Horror Nights as information becomes available.

Paraphrasing the statement, USJ said visitors should expect more Resident Evil-themed goods and forthcoming announcements about the park’s autumn programming.

The partnership underscores Capcom’s long-running strategy of extending its Resident Evil franchise beyond games—titles from the series have appeared across consoles and in digital storefronts, including ports to the Nintendo Switch eShop—while USJ continues to leverage licensed properties for seasonal attractions and exclusive park merchandise.

For fans planning a trip, the key dates to note are merchandise availability on September 9, 2026, and the Resident Evil Requiem attraction running September 11–December 27, 2026.
