Even Realities partners with IO Interactive to add Even G2 smart glasses to 007 First Light

Even Realities, a technology firm focused on wearable AR devices, has announced a strategic partnership with developer IO Interactive to include the company's flagship Even G2 smart glasses in the upcoming James Bond title 007 First Light.

The addition marks the first time, according to the announcement, that a piece of real-life wearable tech will be implemented directly into a playable Bond experience.

The Even G2 will arrive in 007 First Light as an in-game gadget via a post-launch update.

Company and developer statements make clear the timing and exact gameplay role for the glasses have not been fully disclosed.

Even Realities describes the G2 as a device that surfaces on-screen prompts and contextual information in the real world, and the firm has confirmed the in-game model will reflect the brand and design of the Even G2.

In reporting the partnership, Even Realities CEO Will Wang said the company builds discreet technology intended to enhance human capability.

He framed the collaboration with IO Interactive as a natural fit, noting both parties prioritize intelligence, discretion, and reliable design.

Wang characterized the partnership as combining the glasses' computational support with Bond's instincts to expand what the character can achieve in-game.

IO Interactive, the Copenhagen-based studio best known for the Hitman franchise, is developing 007 First Light and remains the lead partner on the project.

The publisher and developer have set a 27 May release for several platforms, with a separate launch window slated for the Switch 2 in Summer, and IO Interactive has stated there are no plans to cancel the Switch 2 version as the team continues development to ensure quality on that hardware.

This partnership follows a growing trend of crossovers between real-world tech brands and video games, where developers replicate physical products in virtual form.

For 007 First Light players, the Even G2 inclusion will be available after release as part of a post-launch update; further specifics about mechanics, UI presentation, and eShop availability will be released by IO Interactive and Even Realities in future communications.
