Cygames has confirmed the release date for Where The Seeds Fall on Nintendo Switch 2, announcing that the title will arrive digitally on the Nintendo eShop worldwide on 5 November 2026.

The three-hour adventure is the first game to launch under the developer’s new CygamesEdge brand, a label Cygames says is intended for smaller- and mid-scale experimental projects.

Cygames described CygamesEdge as a response to evolving player tastes and faster development cycles.

In its press materials the company explained that the new label was created to give teams more creative flexibility and speed, allowing them to pursue unique, experimental ideas while leveraging Cygames’ development expertise.

The studio added that CygamesEdge teams operate under the tagline “Stay on the edge,” emphasizing a focus on strong core mechanics, modern technology, and creative freedom to deliver innovative experiences.

Where The Seeds Fall places players in a compact narrative set on the precarious branches of the World Tree, humanity’s last refuge after the earth was devastated by a Blight.

Players take the role of a lone soldier tasked with descending the tree’s crumbling platforms.

The protagonist defies orders after encountering a mysterious “Fell Child” who resembles his deceased daughter and decides to escort the child to the surface world.

Key gameplay elements highlighted by the developer include careful navigation of unstable platforms and environmental hazards such as strong winds.

Players can collect distinctive flower buds that grow on the World Tree: these items can be carried and thrown to create temporary blossom platforms that absorb fall impact and prevent otherwise fatal landings.

The developer also notes a narrative focus, encouraging players to uncover the truth behind the Fell Child as they explore the World Tree’s layers.

Cygames has released a trailer alongside the announcement; the studio positions Where The Seeds Fall as a concise, story-driven experience suited to the Nintendo Switch 2’s portable-home hybrid form factor.

As the inaugural CygamesEdge release, the title will be an early indicator of the studio’s strategy for smaller-scale, experimental projects on the platform.
