PowerWash Simulator to Delist Free Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII DLC Packs in 2026

FuturLab's critically acclaimed PowerWash Simulator has become known for its unique crossovers, allowing players to clean up iconic gaming worlds.

Now, the studio has confirmed that two of its most popular free DLC expansions—the Tomb Raider Special Pack and the Final Fantasy VII Midgar Special Pack—will be removed from all digital storefronts on May 19, 2026, including the Nintendo Switch eShop.

This move marks the end of an era for PowerWash Simulator fans on all platforms. PowerWash Simulator, developed by FuturLab, has seen significant success since its initial release, with innovative downloadable content (DLC) featuring beloved franchises.

The Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII expansions gave players the chance to immerse themselves in the worlds of Lara Croft and Cloud Strife from a whole new perspective.

Released for free, these packs quickly became fan favorites and have contributed to the game's broad appeal on platforms like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, PC, and Xbox. FuturLab addressed the upcoming delisting through an official statement, explaining that the decision was due to the end of their licensing agreements with Square Enix, who publish both Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII.

According to the developer, their formal relationship with Square Enix will conclude in June 2026.

As a result, distribution rights for these crossover packs will expire shortly beforehand, hence their removal from digital stores like the eShop and Steam. Any players who download the Tomb Raider and Midgar Special Packs prior to May 19, 2026, will retain access to the content even after it is delisted.

However, after this date, newcomers will no longer have the opportunity to obtain these iconic DLC packs.

FuturLab has emphasized the importance for interested players to act soon: "These packs will only be available until May 19, 2026.

Be sure to download them while you can." Since its release, PowerWash Simulator has carved out an impressive place within the simulation genre, boasting strong sales and a vibrant community.

Its collaborative efforts have showcased FuturLab’s ability to blend creative partnerships with satisfying gameplay.

The Tomb Raider and Midgar Special Packs, which originally launched for free in early 2023, exemplify this approach and have attracted both loyal fans and new audiences, especially on the Nintendo Switch. This upcoming delisting highlights the sometimes limited availability of licensed content within the gaming industry.

For PowerWash Simulator players on Nintendo Switch and other platforms, the message is clear: download the Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII Midgar Special Packs while they remain on the eShop and other digital storefronts.
