Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the latest mainline entries in Nintendo's enduring franchise, continue to receive strong post-launch support, as The Pokémon Company has unveiled a special two-part event for Nintendo Switch players.
Starting June 5 and running through June 16, 2025, fans can participate in both a 7-Star Tera Raid Battle and a Mass Outbreak Event, each spotlighting the unique Normal-type Pokémon, Porygon2.
This limited-time event is available to all players who own Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet for the Nintendo Switch, providing a unique opportunity to add a marked or rare variant of Porygon2 to their collections.
The 7-Star Tera Raid Event, which debuted on June 5, challenges Trainers to defeat Porygon2 in high-difficulty raids.
Players who succeed in this event can obtain a Porygon2 with the coveted 'Mightiest Mark,' setting it apart from standard catches and underscoring its prestigious event-exclusive status.
Meanwhile, the coinciding Mass Outbreak Event sees Porygon2 becoming more abundant in the Paldean wilds, further increasing players' chances of encountering—and catching—a shiny Porygon2.
This marks one of the few times that players can actively hunt for a shiny version of this Pokémon in such numbers, adding to the event’s appeal, especially among collectors and competitive players.
In a statement shared across official update channels, The Pokémon Company announced, “From June 5 through June 16, Trainers can look forward to two exciting events featuring Porygon2: a 7-Star Tera Raid Battle and a Mass Outbreak Event, both offering unique rewards and the possibility of encountering special variants.”
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet originally debuted worldwide in November 2022, selling more than 22 million copies globally as of Nintendo’s latest figures, cementing their status as two of the best-selling titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.
The Pokémon Company’s commitment to regular updates and limited-time events such as this helps sustain a vibrant, active community long after the initial release.
Players are encouraged to visit the Nintendo eShop to ensure their games are updated to the latest version, as participating in Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak Events requires an active internet connection for event data distribution.
Full event details and ongoing community updates are available through official channels, including Serebii.net and The Pokémon Company’s social media platforms.
This Porygon2-focused event is part of a wider effort to keep Pokémon Scarlet and Violet at the forefront of the Nintendo Switch catalog, delivering engaging experiences for both new and veteran Trainers through unique in-game content and regular online events.
