Pikmin Bloom, the collaborative mobile title from Nintendo and Niantic, is commemorating its 3.5-year anniversary with a special in-game celebration: the Nintendo Console Event.
Since its original release on October 26, 2021, Pikmin Bloom has remained a favorite among mobile gamers on iOS and Android, blending step-tracking mechanics with the charm of Nintendo's iconic Pikmin series.
Now, to honor this milestone, Pikmin Bloom invites its global community to participate in the month-long Nintendo Console Event, running from May 1 at 12:00 a.m.

The event brings a nostalgic flair, introducing new Decor Pikmin styled after classic Nintendo hardware from the 1980s and 1990s, in addition to a unique set of Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, inspired by the company's historic playing card designs.
Players can engage in a range of event-exclusive missions, earning a variety of rewards.
For every Event Challenge completed, participants will receive random in-game rewards such as Game Button Cells, flower petals, or seedlings.
These seedlings can grow into one of seven types of Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, each adorned with retro Nintendo console elements.
Notably, when the Big Flower blooms at the center of the event stage, players are guaranteed a Gold Seedling—a coveted bonus atop the regular rewards.
In addition, the event introduces new missions to collect Game Button Cells.
Completing these objectives not only grants special Mii costumes tailored for the anniversary, but also offers seedlings to grow Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin.
These playing card-inspired Pikmin further pay homage to Nintendo's roots as a manufacturer of traditional playing cards before its emergence as a gaming giant.
Players should also be on the lookout for Brilliant Mushrooms—themed event obstacles that, when destroyed, award Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells and additional in-game items.
Both the Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin demonstrate unique strengths against these mushrooms, providing another incentive for players to add the new variants to their collection.
To ensure full compatibility with the new event content, Niantic recommends updating Pikmin Bloom to version v118 or later.
While participation in the event is free-to-start, optional in-app purchases are available, and a persistent internet connection is required.
