Bandai Namco has officially unveiled the next wave of DLC content for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, solidifying the game's ongoing legacy on Nintendo Switch.
This announcement, made during the annual One Piece Day celebration, provides long-time fans with fresh characters and exclusive content, demonstrating Bandai Namco’s continued commitment to supporting its action-packed brawler.
Since its initial launch in 2020, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has quietly established itself as one of the standout anime-based titles on the Nintendo Switch, garnering acclaim for its ambitious campaign and comprehensive roster drawn from Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga and anime.
With new DLC builds few and far between since March 2024, this latest announcement has generated renewed excitement inside the community.
As part of DLC Pack 7, Lucci in his CP0 form will join the battle this fall, expanding the game's playable character list.
Bandai Namco explained in a recent statement that Lucci’s addition comes as a direct result of feedback and participation from the community.
The company had previously organized a character poll, giving fans the opportunity to vote on which iconic fighters they hoped to see next.
The developer confirmed, “The next wave of DLC is shaped by the fans, ensuring players’ favorites come to life.”
The DLC doesn’t stop there—Bandai Namco has confirmed that two more playable characters and three additional outfits will be revealed soon, rounding out the DLC 7 content.
Furthermore, the eighth DLC, named the 'Special Selection Pack,' is set to launch in early 2026.
Standouts Enel, King, and Z—all chosen as a result of the character poll—will headline this release.
Players eager for the complete experience can secure Character Pass 3, which bundles both Character Packs 7 and 8.
The Character Pass 3 will be available on August 11, 2025.
As an added bonus for Character Pass owners, Bandai Namco is offering Shanks’ special move, “Divine Departure,” further enhancing the game’s impressive combat arsenal.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 remains available on Nintendo Switch and continues to see active support through both the Nintendo eShop and content updates.
As Bandai Namco continues its collaboration with Nintendo and the broader One Piece fanbase, the title’s popularity shows no signs of waning.
