Nintendo Switch App Update Enhances Screenshot Management Ahead of Switch 2 Launch

Nintendo continues to fine-tune its digital ecosystem with a substantial update to its mobile app, now rebranded simply as the "Nintendo Switch App." This move comes as fans eagerly anticipate the forthcoming release of the Nintendo Switch 2, set for launch on June 5, 2025.

The latest version, update 3.0.1, brings a suite of improvements designed to enrich user experience and integrate effortlessly with Nintendo’s next-generation hardware. A key highlight of this update is the overhauled screenshot management system.

Another new feature previewed in the app is the upcoming "Zelda Notes" function, which appears in the menu for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Although not yet accessible, this feature suggests deeper integration and added value for two of the most celebrated titles on the Nintendo Switch platform.

Nintendo has indicated that "Zelda Notes" is expected to become fully functional alongside the launch of the Switch 2. Since its original release, the Nintendo Switch has been a consistent sales powerhouse, surpassing over 125 million units globally and boasting a vibrant library through the eShop.
