Nintendo Museum Unveils Limited-Time Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary Ticket and Special Exhibit

Nintendo is marking a significant milestone with the celebration of Super Mario Bros.

As a central component of these events, visitors to the Nintendo Museum will be able to obtain a limited-time Super Mario Bros.

40th anniversary ticket, replacing the standard Mii design for an estimated duration of one year—beginning now and running through approximately September 2026. According to Nintendo’s official Museum webpage, every ticket issued during this commemorative period will automatically feature the Mario anniversary design.

Guests who previously chose the classic Mii design need not worry; Nintendo provides the flexibility to switch to the new design through the official Nintendo Museum ticketing website prior to visiting. The company clarified that while the limited-time ticket is expected to last around a year, the exact end date has yet to be determined, and will be communicated via the Museum’s official channels at a later time. In addition to the exclusive ticket, Nintendo is enhancing the 40th anniversary celebration within the Museum with a special lighting display set to illuminate the venue.

This unique exhibit, scheduled from Wednesday, December 3, 2025, to Monday, April 27, 2026, will transform the Museum with themed lighting beginning at 4:00 PM daily and continuing until closing time.

A key attraction will be a special installation at the Warp Pipe photo spot, where visitors can take photos with the Super Mario Bros.
