Nintendo maintenance schedule week of November 1, 2026: Nintendo eShop downtime for Switch and Switch 2

Nintendo has published its official maintenance schedule for the week of November 1, 2026, announcing multiple Nintendo eShop service windows that will affect both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo’s newer Switch 2 hardware.

The maintenance cycle is part of ongoing platform upkeep that has, in recent months, also touched legacy systems such as the Nintendo 3DS.

In a cleared statement, Nintendo confirmed it will perform scheduled maintenance on the Nintendo eShop that may temporarily interrupt access to digital storefront functions on both Switch and Switch 2 consoles.

The company provided exact UTC-localized windows to help users plan around potential outages.

Planned eShop maintenance windows (local times provided by Nintendo):

- November 2, 2026 (affecting Nintendo Switch and Switch 2)

- 12:00 AM PT to 1:00 AM PT (November 2)

- 3:00 AM ET to 4:00 AM ET (November 2)

- 8:00 AM UK to 9:00 AM UK (November 2)

- 9:00 AM Europe to 10:00 AM Europe (November 2)

- November 9–10, 2026 (affecting Nintendo Switch and Switch 2)

- 8:30 PM PT to 10:30 PM PT (November 9)

- 11:30 PM ET to 1:30 AM ET (November 10)

- 4:30 AM UK to 6:30 AM UK (November 10)

- 5:30 AM Europe to 7:30 AM Europe (November 10)

Nintendo has stated these sessions are routine and essential for maintaining the eShop’s stability and security across its current console lineup.

Historically, scheduled maintenance on digital storefronts can impact the ability to make purchases, download content, or access account-related services during the specified windows.

The Nintendo eShop, Nintendo’s digital storefront for the Switch family of hardware, remains the primary channel for digital game purchases, downloadable content, and software updates.

Nintendo has managed periodic maintenance for its online services since the Switch’s launch in March 2017, and legacy platforms such as the Nintendo 3DS have been the subject of recent backend work as Nintendo transitions and maintains its digital catalog.

For players and developers monitoring downtime, plan purchases and digital updates outside these windows.

We will continue to monitor Nintendo’s service notices and publish updates as further information or additional maintenance dates are confirmed.
