Nintendo has published a maintenance schedule for the week of July 19, 2026 that includes a planned Nintendo Switch Online maintenance window in mid‑August.

The notice lists service interruptions affecting both Nintendo Switch and a device labeled “Switch 2.” Nintendo Switch first launched on March 3, 2017, and the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service debuted on September 18, 2018; the new maintenance posting continues the company’s routine scheduling for online services and eShop availability.

In clear, journalistic terms, Nintendo’s notice says Nintendo Switch Online services for both the Switch and the unit identified as “Switch 2” will be taken offline for maintenance during several short windows on August 17–18, 2026.

No additional maintenance sessions were named in the July 19 schedule beyond the August windows.

Confirmed maintenance windows (as published by Nintendo):

- 10:00 PM PT, August 17, 2026

- 12:00 AM PT, August 18, 2026

- 1:00 AM ET, August 18, 2026

- 3:00 AM ET, August 18, 2026

- 6:00 AM UK, August 18, 2026

- 8:00 AM UK, August 18, 2026

- 7:00 AM Europe, August 18, 2026

- 9:00 AM Europe, August 18, 2026

These entries come directly from Nintendo’s maintenance bulletin; they reprise the company’s published times across Pacific, Eastern, UK and continental European time zones.

Historically, Nintendo schedules maintenance to cover services such as online play, cloud saves, friend lists and the Nintendo eShop.

When Nintendo performs maintenance, affected users can expect temporary interruptions to those features during the stated windows.

If you rely on Nintendo Switch Online for multiplayer sessions, scheduled downloads or eShop purchases, plan accordingly: complete important downloads and sign‑in tasks outside the listed maintenance windows.

You can monitor official updates and any revisions to the schedule through Nintendo’s support pages and the company’s maintenance report postings.

At the time of publishing, Nintendo has not announced further maintenance sessions beyond the August windows listed in the July 19, 2026 schedule.

We will update this story if Nintendo posts additional maintenance notices or clarifications.
