Nintendo has issued a fresh batch of backwards compatibility fixes for Nintendo Switch 2, addressing a range of Switch 1 titles after the platform's initial release last year.

The September 2026 round of fixes arrives in close proximity to firmware version 23.0.0, which Nintendo published a few days earlier and which included system enhancements alongside these compatibility improvements.

In an official update, Nintendo confirmed that several previously broken or unstable Switch 1 games now run correctly on Nintendo Switch 2.

Among the notable restorations are Attack on Titan 2, Go Vacation, and Ninja Five-O—titles that had been reported as problematic on the new hardware.

Rewriting Nintendo’s advisory in clearer terms: "Nintendo says it has resolved a number of issues that prevented certain Switch 1 games from functioning properly on Switch 2 and continues to address remaining compatibility concerns in follow-up updates."
