Nintendo eShop Europe Update: Resident Evil 5 and 6, Doraemon: Story of Seasons, and More Hit Nintendo Switch

This week, the Nintendo eShop update for Europe delivers a robust line-up of new games, demos, and downloadable content for the Nintendo Switch, as well as a wide array of discounts for fans across all platforms.

Whether you’re looking for fresh adventures, classic horror experiences, or affordable picks, the eShop offers something for every type of player. Among the most notable releases are Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, two essential entries in the legendary survival horror franchise, now available for play on the go via Nintendo Switch.

Resident Evil 5 sees players join series stalwart Chris Redfield and partner Sheva Alomar as they venture deep into Africa to investigate a devastating outbreak, offering both single-player and cooperative gameplay.

This Switch edition includes all previously released downloadable content (DLC), such as the 'Lost in Nightmares' and 'Desperate Escape' story expansions, Versus Mode, extra costumes, and the special 'The Mercenaries United' mode—providing the ultimate Resident Evil 5 package for both new and veteran fans. Resident Evil 6 continues the franchise’s blend of action and survival horror, spanning multiple global locations with a cast that includes fan-favourite and brand-new characters.

The Nintendo Switch version supports solo play, four-player cooperative campaign action, and competitive multiplayer in modes such as Survivor, which lets up to six players face off.

This complete edition offers all previously released DLC and unlockable alternate costumes, now available in-game for all main characters. Switch owners can also try their hand at family-friendly farming in Doraemon: Story of Seasons from Bandai Namco Entertainment.

This crossover brings together the beloved Doraemon anime and the acclaimed Story of Seasons series, starring Nobita and friends as they help villagers rebuild after a devastating storm.

Players can experience a heartwarming adventure focused on community, agriculture, and exploration, making it an inviting choice for players seeking both nostalgia and relaxation. Other titles launching this week on the Nintendo eShop include Hyperforma by HeroCraft, an engaging puzzle adventure set within the mysterious cyberspace known as the Ancient Network, and Puzzle Box Maker from Bplus, which encourages players to unleash creativity through user-generated pixel art and action mini-games.

The eShop also features highly-anticipated releases such as A Knight’s Quest (Curve Digital), the pinball platformer Family Tree (eastasiasoft), and the retro-inspired Arcade Archives The Legend of Kage (Hamster Corporation). In addition to new games and demos, a range of downloadable content (DLC) expands existing Nintendo Switch experiences.

Notable additions include packs for Asphalt 9: Legends by Gameloft, Monochrome Order expansions by KEMCO, and new offerings for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum’n’Fun! by Bandai Namco Entertainment, ensuring ongoing support for established hits.
