Nintendo eShop Update: Pokémon Snap and Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Headline Latest Wii U and 3DS Releases in Europe

Nintendo has announced this week's European eShop update, featuring an exciting selection of new titles and returning classics for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

The highlight of this week’s release is the arrival of two much-requested games on the Wii U Virtual Console: Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky.

Both titles have cemented their places as fan favorites since their original launches.

Pokémon Snap, first released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, is renowned for its unique gameplay, which tasks players with photographing Pokémon in their natural habitats.

Players travel across diverse environments under the guidance of Professor Oak, capturing images of Pokémon in various scenarios.

With its creative on-rails mechanics and engaging objectives, Pokémon Snap quickly became a cult classic among the Pokémon community.

Now, European Wii U owners can experience this nostalgic adventure once again via the Virtual Console for £8.99 (€9.99). Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, originally launched for the Nintendo DS in 2009, offers players the chance to become a Pokémon and embark on an epic journey to save their world.

With 19 playable Pokémon and over 490 Pokémon to encounter, the game expands on its predecessors with additional stories and content.

Available now on the Wii U Virtual Console for £8.99 (€9.99), this release allows fans to rediscover one of the DS era’s most content-rich spin-offs. In addition to new virtual console arrivals, this week’s eShop update introduces a number of downloadable titles and discounts across both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems.

Notably, games such as Typoman (now permanently reduced to £8.99), Art of Balance, Hot Rod Racer, and Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty are available at reduced prices on the Wii U for a limited time.

Other indie offerings, including Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition from Ratalaika Games and Collateral Thinking by Astrosaurus Games, broaden the selection with arcade-style action and platforming challenges. Nintendo 3DS players are not left out, as special offers span a wide range of genres.

Favourites such as Carps & Dragons, Power Disc Slam, and multiple StreetPass Mii Plaza content packs have received significant discounts.

Additionally, new releases like Brick Race by RCMADIAX and word-puzzle collection Word Logic by POWGI ensure there are options for all types of gamers. Demo seekers can try Jump Trials Supreme free of charge, while video content such as Inazuma Eleven The Movie is now available for download.

Special themes, such as Capcom’s Monster Hunter Generations Hunter’s Journey, round out the latest offerings, providing further customization and engagement for 3DS owners. For a comprehensive list of current prices and end dates for these discounts, visit the Nintendo eShop directly on your Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.

With the continued support of classic titles and indie games, the eShop remains a vibrant platform for all Nintendo fans.
